Volunteering in Mongolia

We have started to work with the Veloo Foundation, this is a very needy organisation taking care of the under privileged families currently living off the trash sites in Ulaanbaatar.
They are always looking for volunteers or contributions no matter how small.

Each year I work with some great expat women in UB to get together school supplies for vulnerable children in UB and in and around Darkhan. We also did a Tsagaan Sar project last year and gave boxes of food for the holiday to families in Nomgon soum.

In UB there are a lot of organizations working with children, women, and communities in a number of different social issues - environment, literacy, education, domestic violence, LGBT issues, arts, sport - that are open to volunteers. They're also a great way to get connected in the city.
