Moving to Belize with kids

Hi,

Moving abroad is an adventure for both parents and children: settling overseas is a challenge for each family member.

How was the move to Belize for your kids?

How did they manage to adapt to their new environment?

Share with us your experience and advice on settling in Belize with children.

Thank you in advance,

Priscilla

I moved to Belize over 11 years ago with 2 teenagers and 10 animals. What i found most challenging was the level of education my Children came from to be able to transition into a class in their age range that offered the same level.
What we did was supplement some additional outside resources, and then my Daughter chose to home school her last 2 years of high school.
The most positive part of the move, was the acceptance into the local community. For me, it was a hugely positive gift to see our new home thru their eyes, and the gift of learning new cultural aspects of Belize- has forever enriched the Children's ( now adults) lives. As I am a Belize Realtor and Relocation specialist, I have seen MANY more families move to Belize with all ages of Children. This has especially been more than 50% of the people we have helped in the past 3 years- have had young Children. I feel it is best to have them enter the school system, as this helps them learn more about Belize and also helps them by getting new friends to enjoy !

Do you have a web site? What is the best way to get in contact with you regarding realty and relocation

I do have a website - Macarenahas all the info as to Belize Real Estate- and Belize You Tube is here:cheers:
