Hi,

Does anyone know where the Metro station in Barra de Tijucia will be located once the extension to the line opens in 2016 ?

What is the commute to PUC currently like with the bus ?

Estação do Metrô Barra de Tijuca is located on Av. Armando Lombardi at the Praça Jardim Oceânico. The consortium responsible for Linha 4 says that the project is 75% complete, at least so they say! The first of the new trains have arrived and are apparently in the testing phase. Just remember this is Brazil and with only 10 months left until the Olympic Games it will be interesting to see if the project will be delivered on time or if it's going to be another public transportation embarrassment for Brazil like the many projects promised for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, many of which are still not completed. (see map below)
