Cost of living in Pakistan

It would be very useful to talk about the cost of living in Pakistan.

Don't forget to mention where in Pakistan you are living.

How much does it cost to live in Pakistan?

> accommodation prices

> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc ...)

> food prices(per month, how much does it cost you?)

> health prices (for those who need medical insurance)

> eduction prices (if you need to pay)

> energy prices (oil, electricity)

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)

> prices of a good menu in a traditional restaurant

> prices of a beer and or a coffee in a regular pub

> price of the cinema

I'm planning to move to Pakistan next year and need info about living costs in the country like transportation, food, schooling, housing, health care and so on.

All prices are subject to average living. (average living is also vary person to person cannot define it accurate)

> accommodation prices

1 Person: Rs. 4000 to 5000 (1 Bed apartment)
2 Person: Rs. 7000 to 8000 (2 bed portion)
4 Person: Rs. 15000 to 16000 (3 bed independent house)

> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc ...)

For average 100 km tarevelling Rs. 150

> food prices(per month, how much does it cost you?)

Based on Per Person: Rs. 5000 to 6000 (cook at home)
From out side: Rs. 5000 to 6000 (traditional hotel)

> health prices (for those who need medical insurance)

Not necessery in Pakistan. No measurement

> eduction prices (if you need to pay)

From 1 to 10 grade: Rs. 3000 to 5000 per month for private school

From 1 to 10 grade: Rs. 1000 to 2000 per month for private school

> energy prices (oil, electricity)

Average 3 Bed House Accomodation with AC: Rs. 5000 to 6000 in summer

Average 3 Bed House Accomodation with AC: Rs. 1000 to 1500 in winter

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)

Internet: Rs. 2000 / 1 MB Link by PTCL

Telephone: for Local and Nation WideRs. 2000 is enough

Mobile: for Local and Nationa Wide with normal use: Rs. 2000 is enough

> prices of a good menu in a traditional restaurant

Rs. 300 to 500 enough one time meal

> prices of a beer and or a coffee in a regular pub

Non Alcoholic Beer: Rs. 75 to 150
Coffee: Rs. 150 to 200 (Luxury coffee shops)

> price of the cinema

Rs. 500 to 700
