Hi - another technical question for you. I have a decoder for DSTV satellite TV in Cape Town -- will it be of any use in Fiji or should I sell it here? The back of it says Altech, DSD1131 MSC IS7 and "ir.deta". I'm clueless, and no info on line about Fiji cable technology that I can find. ????
Also, what's the story with printer cartridges? Bring a pile or buy them there? I have an HP Photosmart 4343 (nightmare machine but my only scanner and color printer) which takes 140 and 141 cartridges and an HP Laserjet 1022 which takes mongo 12A cartidges.

sorry for taking this long to reply.
The reason you will not find anything on cable or digital TV in Fiji is simple. We don't have it. Satellite yes, through SkyPacific and some others, Q-band, I believe. Admittedly, I am no expert there, I don't even have anything but normal terrestrial TV. 2 channels is enough for me. By now, but I used to be a Zapper. from TV junkie to not bothered.
The HP printers should not be a problem here. We have a HP distributor.
