is it possible to open a bank account, after receiving a bankerscheque in US dollars? Do you need other money to open the bank account, or will the amount on the bankerscheque do?

Hi,
Did you hold any foreign bank account? Like Citibank, HSBC, Standard&Charted? If yes, I think you can just open the account with USD banker cheque. Otherwise bank might ask you to convert into RM then only able to open the account for you.
