I might be moving to Zanzibar at the beginning of October. I was wondering whether anyone of you could tell me what are the living expenses in Stone Town (roughly) for an expat, and what are the prices for accommodation in a flat-share in, or in the neighborhood of the city center.

food in zanzibar is expensive if you will eat in the tourist restaurent but in a local restaurent is not expensive and the food is nice for the local restaurent you can spend around $10 or less then that we have Lokman restaurent, Passing show restaurent. and are ther and we have one place we call Forodhan Park or turist they call Night market we have diner is very chep alot of turist and local people going ther.
For acomodation it depend the apartment but you can get $300, $500 per month.
