Other people have been wondering and worrying about it. AFP seems to have the best on the ground reporters in EC. The Pacific Ring of Fire is huge so you never what might happen. Have only ever felt a minor offshore earthquake and a kind of mini tsunami in AK.
That's great to know they seem to have all the warning and monitoring agencies in place . I'm sure all the US monitoring agencies will start giving reports if it starts looking like more than Cotopaxi blowing off steam and some ash. The recent eruptions of Sirabachi prompted evacuations and others just told to stay inside.
Wonder how it will or maybe not even compare with Mt St Helen. Guess we can look at the satellite imagery
Don't think I would have picked that city as a place to live.
