New Member having an issue with private message

I am relatively new to this forum. I received a message from a member a couple of minutes ago and was going to answer, however a message popped up saying: 'X's inbox is full, you cannot send him a message.

How do you deal with this issue?

Your help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hello bettydana

So as to prevent members here from spams and other trolls and scams, we have an automated system that prevents members to send a lot of copy pastes and inbox messages.

As we are mostly a site specialised in Expatriation and a helping community, we encourage members to participate more on the forum.

The more you participate on the forum, the greater will be your inbox capacity.

For this issue you are experiencing, the member who sent you a message does not have many posts on the forum.

Regards
Kenjee

I believe that that member has too man messages in his inbox. At least that's what the message said, when I was trying to contact him.

Is there any other way I can contact him?

Appreciate your help, thanks.

Hi bettydana,

Can you forward me the name of the user you want to get in touch with in private please ?

Thank you :)

Maximilien

Cut and paste is not permitted on this forum.
To get your PM system reinstated go to the bottom of this page and click on "contact us" Then let admin know what you did and they will then assess it.

Thanks,

That'll do it.
Spam of any sort is automatically detected, and your message service blocked.
Perhaps you can answer a question.
Why do you think posters want to hear from a zero post member they don't know?

True - I'm an axe murderer in my spare time.
I'm the dude with the glasses.

was just offering job to potential individuals that were looking for it specifically.

You can place your job offer in the jobs section in the green banner above the page, its free, you have to post just once and you get reach a lot more people than you think.
But make to be sure that you are on the right country forum.

Hi Raja2015

We encourage members to post on the open forum with matters related with expat issues.

Private msgs are enabled after valid contributions on the blog. This is also to make sure that members do not disturb other members through unnecessary/ inappropriate messages.

Use the feature carefully.
Good luck
Z

Did you read the post just above your new post where I answered your question?

To activate your PM system you first have to post a number of times on the forum. These posts need to be informative and topical not just " hi how are you" or smilies.
The reason for this is to make sure new members are not trolls who want to use the PM system for nefarious purposes.

Thanks a lot :)

It's so strange that this question has been answered at least three times on this very thread and still there are people not bothering to look for it.
That's the most frustrating thing on many threads on the forum.

Seems some people perhaps either do not read the posts or do,indeed, read them but do not absorb the information contained in them.... :dumbom:

Hahaha. . Yes.. and here's to hoping that rewriting the answer would get them enlightened.   :proud

Let it go Z, you cant find against it.

Hopefully the new website will have tools to tackle the issue effectively.

In this case, the latest poster asking the question that was already answered above is looking for a job through this forum (in her other posts). Any potential employer in his right mind would of course look at what she posted here before (as well as on other forums, Facebook, etc.) and would quickly see that this person can either not read, not understand, not follow or is generally confused. Then she will not get the job.
I don't understand why these people give away their chances for a good impression so easily!
