Things to do in Swaziland during the weekends

Hi,

What do you usually do on your weekends in Swaziland?

Are there any places to visit, any activities, any events or festivals regularly organized you would like to recommend?

What are your top tips for the weekend in Swaziland?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience, ;)

Christine

We are both on the predicament..... I just arrived to Swaziland and looking for things to do...Please share activities if you find out

I was in manzini and Mbabane last month. I didn't get to spend that much time as I was on business. But check out the glass and candle factory.

It seems there's a big mountain bike community if you're an outdoors person. Mbabane has beautiful rolling hills. I'm sure there must be lots of hiking trails around.

Friday night's, there is live music at the Royal Swazi. I don't gamble but the casino is lively on Friday night. There's also a very lively nightclub in Mbabane called Solaris. The crowd is professional Swazi with a few whites mixed in. The music is great.

Sometimes on Saturdays I go shopping at the bustling Mbabane Plaza. After I shop, I sit and people watch while having a meal outside at Cuba Nora (no Cuban food but good service) or Ocean Basket (great sushi menu).

Also worthwhile on nice days is to have lunch at the Lugogo Sun pool bar. The food and the serice are great and you can sit around the pool and eat/drink. Cool vibe.

If in Manzini, the traditional market is open in Saturdays but the additional stalls vwith lower prices that open outside on the street  are only on Thursdays.

One thing you cannot do--you can't buy alcohol on Sundays. You better stock up on Saturday.
