Things to do in Berne during the weekends

Berne has one of the oldest towns in Switzerland and that is certainly worth the visit. I recommend Münster Cathedral very much if you would like to see the panorama of the Berne city itself from a higher altitude. There are a few Museums too, like Paul Klee and Swiss Brands Museum. At the moment the bear park that's right beside river Aare is being reconstructed is perfect for lounging and so on. There is also Rosengarten (Rosegarden) where you will have a good view of the old city although I'm afraid this is only worth a visit between spring and autumn. There is also Gurten which is familiar for hikers or if not, you can ride a cable car up and go to the viewing tower and have another panoramic view of the city itself. These are all just in the city of Berne. If you are willing to travel a bit outside, there are more places that's def worth paying a visit too.
