A tourist visiting the Netherlands wants to visit eye specialist

Hi,

I am living in the Netherlands. My mother is visiting us. She would like to visit an eye doctor/specialist as she has some problem with her lenses inserted permanently in her eyes (she had those operations in another country).

Where should I bring her to ?

Regards,

Keomoonie

The fastest and the most efficient consist of going through the GP or family doctor. They can call on your behalf the hospital and take rapidly a appointment for you with a recommendation letter. Otherwise, you can not have any specialist consultation in Netherlands (I think)

For my daughter, the GP ask us to call the hospital and get the appointment. We did it and we god a appointment two months later only. Prior few days, the hospital sent us a confirmation letter with all the details where to go etc... I thank I might be very late for your mother.

The only way to speedup the process is your GP. They will see the urgent matter and can negotiate the delay with this hospital. You may ask formally your GP to call on your behalf and write down the address, the date, the service, the telephone of the hospital.

Good luck and all the best for your mother.
