Verification for health directory entries

As far as I know doctors can add themselves to the directory without any form of verification.
In a place like Cambodia where many "doctors" have no medical education at all, health services are under no governmental control, and expats are widely seen as cash cows, this can be quite dangerous, if not life-threatening.

I'm not saying anything has happened, but looking at the current list of health related entries, I'm very suspicious. Many of them look quite dodgy.

Hello JanKrohn

Thank you for your concern. Please do send me links or contacts of any suspicious contacts you may see.

We always encourage members to click on recommend in case they know and have dealt with the professionals suggested in the business directory.

Cross checking information received is always a must, and of course when it concerns about doctors etc, Extreme Caution is recommended.

Kenjee

Just compare with the list that the US embassy deems up to international standard:

Very little overlap only...

I'm not going to point out single suspicious entries from the directory. If I'm not right, I don't want to damage their reputation. If I'm right, I don't want to make my family and myself target for threats.

Anyway, I've upvoted the dental places I know are reputable, and added a couple of good clinics, hospitals and pharmacies. As for the gps and specialists separate from any hospitals and clinics, I can't say much.
