Moving to Riyadh soon. 3 questions please

Hi guys,

I might be moving to Riyadh soon to work for a foreign company.

I have heard that Riyadh is a very conservative city and would like someone to tell me please:

1) will my ponytail long hair be a problem when going out for shopping or just being in public places? I'm ready to wear a hat if I have to because it would break my heart if I had to cut my hair. But I'm not sure whether even wearing a hat would be OK in Riyadh.

2) is there a tennis club or just tennis courts I can use?

3) are shorts forbidden to go around the city or to play sports?

Welcome... Bro to Saudi..
1-most of Saudi youth have long hair.don't worry..
2-wearing shorts in puplic like malls ,big places actually not allowed.
3-u can play any kind of sports u like.in campounds, clubs,hotels ...

Thanks mate.
But the Saudi men usually wear their traditional head cover which hides their long hair somehow, right? I have a quite long ponytail. So I'm hoping this would be OK.

1) Long hair are ok. However they might effect the office/professional norms here.
2) Yes many tennis courts clubs, hotels etc.
3) Shorts are ok in malls, restaurants pretty much everywhere, as long as they are about knee high.
