I'm part of a new initiative to bring together international people and locals in Kyoto.
My friend and I created a webpage with regular blogposts about making your Japan adventure as awesome as it can be. In your case, you would need to have the right contacts. I got my job here because I work for the same company in Sweden. You also need to be decent in Japanese to have a better chance of getting a job here!
