Student pass for public transport

Hi all,

I'm looking to get a season pass for public transport in Brussels but have a few questions first.

1. Is a 'season' ticket good for a full year?
2. I am looking to buy a student pass. I will be 24 when purchasing the pass but will turn 25 during the year that the pass is used. Is this allowed, or will my pass be invalidated because I am now too old?
3. What is the difference between a school STIB and a school MTB pass? (besides the 40 euros?)

Thanks,
Nyahplay

STIB covers bus, metro and tram services run by STIB

MTB covers all of above AND also de Lijn and SNCB and TEC services in the MTB area, most is inside Brussels region but some is outside and you need to look on the network map which indicates the MTB boundaries.

Age at time of pass bought. You have to prove you are a student too.

Passes are monthly or yearly, as stated on STIB website.

Thanks, tervurener!
