Hello, I'm about to obtain Criminal Record Certificate in country of origin, but will go to PY just later this year, probably in December. Will this certificate be valid? Or it needs to be "fresh"? There is no information about validity time in any official document.

I would get it one month before you leave. It will take at least 5 months to go through process when you are
there and 6 months may be the max date.

This may give you a clue: Interpol certificate issued in Paraguay has 3 months validity.

I have personal experience, but you are dealing with Paraguay, it is not a country where you can rely on hard evidence for most anything.
