Regarding Family joining visa

Dear All
can any body tell me for family joining visa is there visa category required ,i have labour visa category but my salary is more then 800 OMR.

Hi vivek pal,

Please be aware that any ambiguity in your official documents could result in unnecessary complications - while crossing borders, while applying for a liquor licence, for applying for family joining visa, etc.

Certain categories of visa holders are disallowed and are not granted the privilege of sponsoring their families to join them on family joining visa.

If you are not a labourer, why then is your status classified as a labourer ? Speak with your company PRO and ask for his guidance and opinion. If any one, only he can help you.

Thanks alot

Hi vivek pal,

Like I have mentioned this many times in the past, here in this forum, this is a rather common practice of many employers. They need a job to get done and so get a suitable candidate, with whatever labour clearance that they might have at that point of time.

That's why and how an engineer become s a labourer. The employer benefits as he gets his job done. The employee pays the price, sometimes a very heavy price, as he will get rejected from availing many benefits as his registered designation deems him disqualified.

All expatriate employees must pay attention to these little, yet really important details, so that they do not get taken for a ride by some selfish employers.

Well, in your case your choices are nil. You are now at your employer's mercy.

Good luck.
