Hi Y'all,
My wife and I are working professionals from South Carolina, USA. We've been thinking about moving to Australia for a few years, but don't really have any idea about how to get started. Which comes first, the visa or the job?
I'm a mechanical engineer and my wife is a computer programmer, so I'm sure we could get visas and find jobs, but do we need work visas before any company would even consider hiring us? Or are there companies that recruit expats and then sponsor them through the immigration process?
If anyone has any advice for us it would be great appreciated.
