Flying to UAE from Oman with Omani residence without sponsor

Hello,

Can Omani resident card holders who are listed as dependants travel on their own within the GCC? I've been told that they will not be allowed to board flights to the UAE from Oman if their sponsor is not travelling with them.

Has anyone had similar experiences or more information?

Dependent (family) visa holders can travel to the UAE as long as they have entry visas. Thee is no need for the sponsor to travel along with them. For those travelling by road, the primary employment visa holder (head of the family) has to be there.
