You really need to be in Malta to rent property , you shouldn't face too much trouble with your budget though , remember of your renting off an agent you will need months rent , plus a security deposit equivalent to months rent and then half a months rent in fees

Cheers robpw2...I've come to same conclusion as you. Too hard to sort something out remotely (although I managed it in Germany, when I relocated from Australia!).

We're in a similar situation, looking for a 2 bedroom flat in Marsascala or Marsaxlokk, and I was wondering if a sea view flat for 300-350 EURO a month is a realistic option...

don't rent out based on pictures, i've seen plenty flats that looked great on the picture and then got there and they were crap
