Hard Disk and Coffee????

Hello to one and all,

I am seeking your help once again with a few things. We leave in a few days and I am panicing trying to understand what is possible to have on a hard drive. I have read through previous posts on the forum but havent exactly found the answers I was looking for so here goes. We will be Flying into Riyadh.

We don't have any of the P word, obviously or anything to do with Religion. We do have many pictures, music , movies and television series. In addition a great deal of our teaching resources such as E books (some dealing with politics and history), powerpoints, PDF's and some historical news clips have been stored on the HD and We are nervous that they will delete everything. In addition We have been nervous to put any pictures on in the event that someone will have a different idea of what is acceptable for the Kingdom. Can you help with any advice or experiences.

In addition we really enjoy coffee. In the past I have taken espresso coffee with me and I am thinking of doing the same this time. However I don't know if this is permitted in Saudi Arabi, Can you help?

Thanks in advance and as always your previous post have been helpful.

I stepped off the plane in Riyadh, They looked at my american passport and work visa, stamped it and sent me on my way. My luggage went through an xray machine but that was it. No one searched it and the whole process took me less than 5 minutes from the time I got off the plane until I was hailing a cab outside the airport.

Hi Schulz,
Thank you very much for the help. I really really appreciate it.

Yeah good luck. My friend was also not searched at all but had to wait in a long line of people. I am not sure what country your coming from but if your from the U.S. go to the "VIP" line unless the other ones are shorter

Coffee is alright lol , dont worry about it. Only thing that might cause probs if you have religious or Pornographic material in your hard drive , if not your good to go ! Copy right stuff do not apply here you can download all the movies in the world illegally and they wont do anything.
Do hope you enjoy your stay here!

Hi!
Welcome to the forum by the way and I hope that the move goes well.
I came to Riyadh about 3 weeks ago and I carried my laptop in my hand in its bag. No-one even glanced at it, I am also a teacher (ICT) and have resources saved on it as well as a portable hard drive but I did not have any problems.

Good luck!
