I don't think the private medical facilities available here in the Sultanate have evolved to the level of needing professional medical coders. Just to clarify, the private medical facilities here are primarily money-spinning businesses.

Perhaps the government run hospitals might have medical coders, since the government hospitals are large, well-equipped and well-staffed. Again, the quality of the doctors / treatment provided may not be world class, but they are certainly better than the private run "businesses".
