Texans, Floridians: Ecuador Expats Invite You Summer In the Highlands

Due to global warming and roasting-hot temperatures in Texas and Florida during certain months, Ecuador Expats invite folks in your state to come spend the North American summer of 2015 in the highlands of Ecuador.

While Dallas-Fort Worth is broiling in average high 96-degree temps (July 1-August 21 historical data), the capital of Ecuador -- Quito (pronounced KEE-toh) -- has average highs in the upper 60's F. year-round.  This is due to its special location on the Equator at 9,300 feet elevation.

This year-round mildness may also be of interest to folks in the Upper Midwest and New England.  The Quito average low year-round is about 50 degrees.  Coming here could put an end to your eternal snow-shoveling and need for frostbite-avoidance strategies.

In fact, all friendly folk are invited to come here this summer or next winter (or this week if you can swing it), and even consider moving here.  Remember your sunglasses and bone up on your Spanish.

BTW there is no professional baseball in Ecuador, so y'all will miss the Astros, Rangers, Rays and Marlins

Combined record, 2014:  291-357.

Most MLB games in 2015 WILL be televised in Ecuador, on DirecTV's Extra Innings package.

Of course seeing something on tv is not as good as seeing it in person.
If that were the case, everyone in Texas and Florida could stay in their air conditioned houses and watch films of Ecuador instead of spending all the time and money to fly there.  And there are a lot more travel films to be experienced in the comfort of home.  Think Singapore without the humidity, no monsoon.
