nah no kidding if you really want to here but dont say i didn't warn you :p ---> try "Fausti" songs "Zwou Bulle Mokka" or "Oho ech hun eng Moss am Bick"  in the category schlagger or more like partymusic xD or you could try "Toxic Rene" category eh parody have fun ^^

Merci!

Savez-vous la chanson;
"S'il vous plaît ne vous parle français"

C'est un chant luxembourgeois, n'est-ce pas?
Le mot est drôle.
De manière générale à Luxembourg,
Vous n'aimez pas parler français?
Préférez-vous la langue allemande?

Hi Kazu, Thank you for your participation. :)

Can you please write in English in this anglophone forum so that other members can understand?

If you want to interact in French, you can post in the francophone forum.

Thank you very much for your comprehension.
Christine

Dear Rodrigo85,
Thank you for your post!

My wife told me there are no songtext in Luxembourgish.

As Luxembourg is small, there is no need songtext in Luxembourgish.
As they speak three languages, they do not need lyrics in their own language.

In Japan, there are only Japanese songs!
Do you know the song;
"S'il vous plait, parlez vous pas francais"
The title is not written with good French grammar, above all!
It is written, deliberately, I think...

It is a Luxembourgish song, isn't it?
The lyrics are very funny!
I couldn't stop laughing! (Grin)
Generally speaking in Luxembourg;
Do people dislike to speak French?
Do people prefer to speak German?

Kazu

Not at all depends on age nowadays the youth prefers to speak
french ^^ and older luxemburgish people probably prefere german

There are an few songs in luxemburgish but they are not really popular

Yes i know that song ^^ most songs in luxemburgish language are actually more for laughs ^^ haha if you want to listen to another one like that try this one its more like an parody of how older luxemburgish people speak in french ^^

Serge Tonnar is one of Luxembourg's most popular musicians. Pretty much all of his songs are written in Luxembourgish and have a heavily ironic undertone.

Here's his YouTube channel where you can listen to some of his tunes: http://www.youtube.com/user/stonnar

Thank you for your advice! I will check the U-tube. It motivates me to study Luxembourgish!!
