I've been working on a survey gathering the opinions of expats living in Barcelona. I don't think there have been many studies specifically on this theme and the ones that have are more about demographics rather than opinions about reception from locals and way of life here.

I've had a great response from Italians, hundreds have already had their say! But being from the UK, what I'd like now are some more answers from English speaking expats because so far the response hasn't been ideal.

Good luck with the survey, hrtfreeman. It reminded me of a class I took while getting my undergrad degree in business administration. The case study found that everyone polled was going to buy a Cadillac as their next car. That didn't happen. The wording was changed to "What do you think your neighbor's next car is going to be?". The results were much closer to reality.
