Most cities in Germany publish local rent statistics in a so-called "Mietspiegel".
The Mietspiegel for Berlin is here (only in German, of course):

Average prices for small apartments are €6-8/sqm per month. This is unfurnished and exclusive of utilities and other incidental costs.
