Hi, I got a job offer in Brande, but currently living in Berlin, moving to the calm countryside moight be too much of a contrast... Any recommendations? Would Aarhus be too far away?

Its about a 1 hour drive, and about 2 hours by public transport from Aarhus. I would recommend you use this site:

(Click on English for english as its danish by default)

Here you can enter ANY adress/station or bus stop in the top field, and then your work adress in the bottom, and you can see exactly how long it will take from you step out your door till you get to your work... It will allso show you what bus/train to take from any location to any location in denmark.
