Cost of living in Serbia – 2015

Hi all,

We invite you to talk about the cost of living in Serbia in 2015, with an updated price listing.

Don't forget to mention in which city of Serbia you are living in.

How much does it cost to live in Serbia?

> accommodation prices

> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc.)

> food prices (your monthly budget)

> health prices (for those who need medical insurance)

> education prices (if you need to pay)

> energy prices (oil, electricity)

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)

> price for a good menu in a traditional restaurant

> price for a coffee or a drink

> price for cinema tickets

Do not hesitate to add items to this list! ;)

Thank you in advance for your participation.

I hope this help you:

- accommodation from 200 euros (it's more expensive in the center of the city) to rent an apartment, plus the expenses (from 60 euros, it depends whether you have cable, internet, etc.)

- public transport (monthly ticket is around 30 euros)

- monthly budget for food is from 350 euros (again, it depends on what type of food you like to eat) I recommend at least 400 euros budget for two people.

- elementary and high school education is free for Serbian citizens (colleges enroll certain number of students for free, while others pay for scholarship)

- cinema tickets are from 3 to 6 euros (it depends on the day, the movie, whether it's 2D or 3D...)

- coffee and drinks are from 1 euro, while it's a bit more expensive in the center, where you need to pay from 3 euros for coffee or drink

By the way, I'm talking about Belgrade.
