Hi all

My husband has received an offer of employment to teach english at a university in saudi. After having signed the contract and getting all documentation ready he was told by the travel agency that the visa allocated for him was used already in 2013. Now he does not know what to do as the recruitment agency says that the university will most probably not allocate another visa to him. Has anyone else been in a similar situation with some advice or hope to share?

We are in 2015, was he waiting for the visa for more than a year ??
Assuming you meant 2014, it is advised to talk to the agent for any kind of resolution from his end and if nothing's possible then just move on and keep applying for new jobs at Saudi !! BTW, there are hell lots of opportunities for English teachers/lecturers/professors. Good luck

Jazakhallah for the reply. He applied in October 2014 and signed contract and everything was finalized but now when it came to process the visa the travel agebt says that the visa number allocated to my husband has already been used in 2013 and the recruitment agency says that they don't think the university will issue another visa number. But they should if they allocated a visa number that has been used right? Just frustrating as we have sold everything here and left our jobs ready to make the move
