Pediatrician in Muscat

Hey! My husband and I are planning to move to Muscat in February, along with our 6 month old daughter. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good pediatrician and also wondered what it's like getting the regular shots for a baby in their first couple of years?

Thanks!

Doctor Raghu (child specialist) at Sagar Polyclinic is a good one as well

Hi mzzmcdonald,

You would have to choose the best options you get in and around the neighborhood where you are going to be living. You might find the best pediatrician in Muscat, but if he / she's going to be practicing from the other end of town it would serve you no real purpose. So once you settle down share your residence location for the forum members to advice further and more in specific.

Routine vaccinations are given free of cost across all government clinics - for all children born in Oman, expatriate babies included. Private clinics also provide the same assistance, but at exorbitant prices.

Much has been discussed in the forum about the low quality of medical services available in the Sultanate. Suggest you read through the many posts on that subject to mentally prepare yourself for what you could expect here.

Good luck.
