Hi. Has any one got any info on how long the exchange commission should take to release money from the country to the uk.
I had an issue with a hotel project which ended up going through the court in
galle. Evently after a legal battle my lawers received a payment from my Sri Lanka partners via the court which has been held by the commission any ideas on speeding this process would be appreciated.this process started in 2007

If you have the documents to prove that you invested this money in Sri Lanka, if its held at a local bank, you can still transfer it legally.

May be your lawyers can help proving to the Xchange comm that this money came from overseas using the court case files/docs .... but it may not be easy if you are not directly involved.. are you in Srilanka now?
