Yes we have many Filipino in Oman in parts like:
Seeb ( Near the airport)
Ghubra
Ruwi ( the commercial area in Oman)
So you can easily get these communities easily, specially near Philippine school there

In Oman people move by:
- Taxi ( small one 4 passengers)
- Mini bus ( 12 or 14 passengers)
- Public transportation ( very few use it as it is very late and very few)
so the better is either mini bus or taxi
