Cost of living in Algeria - 2010

It is very important for potential expats in Algeria to establish a budget before settling down!

The previous topic on the subject being a little outdated and specific forums have been created meanwhile for Algiers, Constantine and Oran, a discussion has been started on the subject in each of these forums.

However, if you happen to live in another city, we'd like you to add your contribution in the present discussion by extending the following price info on :

- your accomodation (please specify which type);
- water and electricity bills
- average monthly household budget
- average unit price for bread, butter, milk, eggs, kg of meat;
- medical insurance;
- school fees (please specify the type of school your kid(s) are going to);
- petrol
- public transport (metro if any, buses and taxis);
- internet; landline and mobile subscription;
- a good menu in a traditional restaurant;
- a beer, or a coffee and
- cinema ticket...

and of course, you may add a category if you deem it important one!

Please do not forget to specify the size of your household.
