Schooling in kuwait

Hi there

I am a 30 year old scottish female who has just relocated to kuwait.

We are seeking reception education for our daughter and we havent been very successful so far. Does anyone know of any english school linked to the English curriculum that has space.

We are also seeking a housekeeper/childminder for our family.

does anyone have advice on what to do with young children in kuwait.

Thanks

heather

Hello,

You might want to check the British School of Kuwait in Salwa area or the English School in Fahaheel.

Good luck

Ahmed

Hi there

thanks for the reaponse both these schools are full for reception.  So now at a total loss

Try to talk to the VP, they may exempt you.

VP?

Hi, try TES in Salmiya I think it is the best, second best is  KES in Salwa. TES is the first and the oldest British school in Kuwait, hope you can find a place there. tes.edu.kw/
Good luck

Thank you we have appointment tomorrow at KES. Fingers crossed

The vice principal. They often solve such an intricate situations.

New English School has a good reputation, oe TES

Hi Heather
Why don't you try Kuwait English School or New English School. It's quite normal to get rejection from these schools initially but you need to market you child and insist on the screening tests/exams. Given that we are a native speaker, normally our children (we are a New Zealander) would do well in English tests. That would eventually impress the school management and they will take them in.
Good luck.

Try the Cambridge English Schools. The entrance exams should not be a problem for the native speakers of English.
