hi to all any help would be great ,,,my girlfriend and i plan to get a house here in ireland ,when she looked into getting a divorce from her ex husband ,the solictor in riga came back to her and said that they could not find a record of the marraige even though she has her paper there is no record off it in riga ,,,,thanks for ure time ,,,

The decree absolute is the document required. The record office of birth death and marriage in Latvia must have copies.Really though it is your job to keep this document safe as you hold the original not a solicitors job to have it. Really why do we have to have permission of any one to be together we are not dogs why a license at all but that is the crazy law and so good luck.
