We filed for my husbands Green Card in Aug 2012 and had our interview in Mumbai in Feb 2014. We had to go to Mumbai twice as they needed some police certificate that we hadn't gotten in time for the first visit. He received his IR1 visa in Feb 2014 and we flew out the end of April. They actually give your green card after you arrive in the US. From the time we filed until we had the passport with visa in hand was 22 months. About one month after we arrived in the US we received the physical green card.
