Living in Rehab

You will need to be resident to get membership but you don't need to have membership to get in the club, you can pay at the gate. Membership makes sense though if you live in Rehab as you are likely to use the club on a regular basis, and it will allow you to use the private pool when it is open.

(Unless they have changed the rules in the last couple of weeks, which really wouldn't surprise me: they make them up as they go along!)

Thanks Aykalam. I'll ask them again about this.

We had cofee morning today at Tota restaurant. It was so great meeting people from different nationalities. Unfortunately I was not able to greet everybody, but I enjoyed so much. Thanks to Della for having us. Thanks to you all ladies. Cheers

I live in Rehab also, if any member need anything i may be can help, i also looking for flatmate if some one is interested

@nmartin and all,

Great job fellow. that list will come in handy in few months.  the only thing missing is accomodation and landlords.  (JK)
I have not gotten there yet, but I will be moving to Cairo in December.  I am coming from sunny San Antonio. I read few threads and it seems like you have a good group of expats enjoying themselves at the same time trying to help the new comers.  I know that I will revisit over and over to get some info on the best places to hang around, to eat, listen to live music,  go to the belly dance cabaret,  and even watch some good soccer.  As part of my preparation for this adventure, is to explore the accommodation.  I will be attending CU not Colorado University (jk) for six months, and only required to attend 10 days every 2 months. Any suggestion where can I find a small apartment within five miles of the school and how much should I pay for rent?  I heard many horror stories about landlords and rental agents, but I like to hear from the group with first hand experiences.  I was offered a room in the dorm for $ 300 a week, but I want to mingle with the locals and the expats to experience the culture.  I also heard that the Egyptians are very funny people.
Sorry for the lenghty message

Hi everyone, im new on this forum, have been living in Cairo since 2011. Wanna move to Rehab or Madinaty. I would like to know ur opinion about living in Rehab and (being an expat too there). Is it nice, safe place? How do u deal with Egptians, are ur neighbours nice? I went there few time and i was unhappy seeing so many young egyptians, i would say from lower class, all are lound, and they stare on me as im not egyptian.Terrible! It was Friday so maybe they dont live there but just came to hang up. What u think? i really care about the eviroment. If its clean, if egyptians behave well and so on. Dont get me wrong i love egyptians, i have an egyptian family as well, however i'm fed up with lower class which are not polite. I need some rest and be free to live there, walk, go shopping, take kids to school without being haassed. Whats ur opions girls (mostly) and boys? :) I wish ur advises would help me find a good location.

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone can help me with phone numbers for Al Rehab Real Estate office? I would like to make some enquiries for renting an unfurnished flat. Any ideas about rents?
Thanks in advance
