Hello everyone

So it looks like I maybe moving to Scotland and taking up a job in Glenrothes, Fife.
Could anyone tell me what it's like? I will be moving with my wife and 2 children so we'd like to move somewhere suitable and safe in Glenrothes or close by.

Any help appreciated.

I live in Kirkcaldy, just down the road from Glenrothes, unless you live in a really horrible area, where you are moving to Glenrothes is a HUGE mistake! Its full off junkies and alcoholics. The houses are all too close together, the scheme's are dingy and horrid.

If you are thinking of moving to Fife, Markinch, Kirkcaldy (not smeaton, links or templehall areas though), coaltown of balgonie is okay too.

Thanks for the post Sean. Is it an easy commute to Glenrothes from Kirkcaldy at rush hour?

Its 10 mins by car, there are lots of buses, and Fife's rush hour isn't that busy to be honest, if you do get stuck in traffic its only a 10 min delay at best Hope this helps
