To go or not to go.....

I have an opportunity to move to Mauritius in the next 3-6 months and would like to know from other expats living there what it's like.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello Zippy15

Welcome to Expat.com!

I am sure you will get positive feedbacks from Expats here, as you may know, Mauritius is considered as Paradise Island :D

If you love sun, sea, beautiful beach, nature, nice food, you will love Mauritius :D

Hi Kenjee,

Thank you for your post.

My boyfriend has a job starting in Mauritius in September and what I really want to know is whether I can come along with him and whether I can get a visa - do you know if this is possible?

Thanks
Zippy15

You can get a visa.  I think it depends on your purpose of visit.

Thanks clintonjay - I want to live with him in Mauritius but will not have a job straight away - and I was wondering whether he could get me a visa - is this possible?

Have a look at the invest in Mauritius website for further insight into the different types of long term visas.  http://www.investmauritius.com/work-live.aspx

Here's what would be pertinent to your status  http://www.investmauritius.com/work-live/op.aspx
