Any Useful Information about Holy month of Ramadan in Libya?

Asalam o Alaikum and hello to all,

I would just like to know how libyans here celebrate this holy month of Ramadan? Do they offer parties for Suhoor/Futoor ( breaking fast)? What about market timings? What type of food they usually use during ramadan? What about working hours and conditions ( conditions: either they do work during office hours or just sleep :P ).

Any other information about ramadan will be appreciated.

Happy Ramadan to all Muslims in advance :)

Regards,
Mohsin

Walaykum salam I wasnt in libya alk ramdan last year but I have seen some organised iftar for people.
It is not officially a month of holidays but you'll find all offices closed and business runs even slower than usual. Expats however work as normal just check out those poor guys sweeping the sand on the road in misurata amd make dua for them. Last year I was feeling so bad for them in the extreme heat and fasting.
Shops and stuff are usually open very late into the night especially after maghrib and taraweeh.
Hope that helps. Hows your work and your new life in misurata? All the best and ramadan mubarak in advance not long now
