I have visited Vietnam twice and have my favourite spots. I guess at the moment Hoi An is the favourite.
However I have heard that the Vn government were contemplating foreign ownership of property in Phu Quoc mainly to encourage tourism business there.
So I am wondering if that will ever happen because a few Vn residents have suggested that decision may take forever and don't count on it happening anytime soon.
Does anyone here have any info on this?

Vn residents are right, don't count on it anytime soon. There's always finding the village girl of your dreams and buying one that way. :0
