I worked there from 1976 - 1992
I worked for Texaco, I was one of the first people to go in there. First of all I worked for Vetco then Texaco. Me and a few others built the first Kwanda Base camp. Me Stuart Davies, Stan Shaw,Jimmy McGuckin, Wayne Egglestone, Cecil D Rhodes. I poured concrete, put in the Porta camp bases, set up the gennies (Cat 3306, 3 of them) drilled a water well. Ahh the good old days.
