House and land ownership through company possible?

Being a foreigner, I know you can only own via the IRS and various schemes.  The problem with this is if you don't like any of what's available, what can you do if you want to buy land and build your own house the way you want it.

In many countries, it is possible to form a company and have the land and house in the company name.  Is this possible in Mauritius?

As far as I know you can buy a land through your company, but only for business purposes (such as build your factory or offices), not to build your house.

After posting the question, I did find the below on a law firm/investment site, but the part about owning land wasn't clarified as to be only for business, or any type of land.

A Mauritius Domestic Company may either be public or private...............  It may also own land and other immovable properties in Mauritius, unlike the Mauritius GBC.
