Is 11-12k good for singapore?

Hi, is 11-12k a manageable salary for a couple living in singapore? no kids. decent condo and beers over the weekend.

heres my view on expenses based on some posts:

accomodation: 3k
taxes: 1k
elec, water, tv, mobile conn, internet: 1k (assuming one aircon is used for 12 hrs per day)
groceries: 1k
entertainment (beers on the weekend) and travel fare (taxi and train): 500
any other misc exps like shopping: 500

am i missing anything or estimated anything wrongly? that would total to around 7k, so savings would be around 4-5k. do give your views :-)

Hi carlyle,

11-12k is a very comfortable pay in sg. In fact the 4-5k left over is what many people are not even drawing back monthly.

This salary is far above (in fact, more than double) the average household income in Singapore. For just a couple, this affords a very good lifestyle. All items on your list look o.k., except the beers on the weekend, which might be too low (depending on how much and where you drink).
