1) has it got a library?
2)what sort of books do they have? kids/adults
3)do they run social events? if so what kinda events?

Aren't you on their mailing list? For parties and other social events which are open to the British public, they send out emails.

Then there is the mommy and me gathering of mothers and babies every week.
