Bocas Del Toro

Reaching out to any current Bocas Del Toro residents. Based on what I read about the areas limitations, (Infrastructure, shopping, available health care.. etc) In reality how feasible is year round residency. Does one just learn to accept limited creature comforts, deal with the limitations and pray you don't have any serious medical issue crop up? OR is "nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live there" Scenario overblown?

I live in David but have been to Bocas. I wouldn't live there. It's a beautiful vacation spot, but we like having shopping, health care, everything we need close at hand. But that's just us. Others are happy living there. Have you been there? Only you know how it feels to you and what you need to be happy.
I just put up some posts and photos of our recent trip to Bocas if you're interested http://blog.thepanamaadventure.com/
