Hye thanks mate . Well I am not quite a party animal but a peaceful bar on a friday night would do.  Would you mind asking me that are you an English teacher?

Hi Omar

I am not an English Teacher, i am not qualify to be one, I just know a little English to communicate and my language have to go a long way to improve it.

If you live around Tay Ho, you will find out a lot of nice places that will suit you. Just take time, meet new friends, you will figure out yourself.

Different people brings different views!
What I enjoyed in Ho Chi Minh city may be you  get bored. So it's better feel yourself.
It's not much terrific  views or not much interesting!
Ho Chi Minh city has it's own limitations.
Overall okay.
Food is very interesting after 6pm on many 'food streets' and fresh almost every shops.
Price is cheap.
After 10 pm there is not much traffic on streets so if you want a less polluted peaceful ride/drive, it will be nice in that time. (Just make sure that you are a pillion passenger or posses a driver's license)

I appreciate it. Well.i hope so. Anyway maybe we could grab a couple of beers when I get down there as I wont have any friends there.

Depend on where you would stay in Hanoi, I find that some places around Hoan Kiem Lake (so-called Sword Lake), and West Lake have the most bustling nightlife. As I live near Sword Lake, I can help and give you some info if your accommodation is around this areas. In the evening, the weather is cool, I suggest that you can go out and visit some beauty spots of Hanoi such as The Old Quarters or Sword Lake of course  :D . Also, you can experience famous street food in Hanoi and enjoy a joyful atmosphere of a night market, which is held at the weekend (inside the Old Quarters). I myself love going to Ta Hien street to drink beer or lemon tae and chat with my friends every time when I get bored. I call this street as foreigner-street as the fact that this street is crowded with not only Vietnamese people but also foreigner. If you want to know more about Hanoi or have confusion for the time you would stay here, I am willing to help. Welcome you to Hanoi ;)
