Please put more light to this topic. As I have a valid Qatari Automatic DL issued back in 2011, I am now looking to move to Muscat with a new offer. Can you please let me know the procedure of converting the DL.

Apart from this Qatar license, vision test, resident card & passport copy, Do we need any sponsorship letter and blood test certificate?

You will need the following
1) Original license (which will be retained by Royal Oman Police - ROP)
2) Letter from your company
3) Omani PRO to accompany you
4) Eye test will be done in ROP office itself
5) The license should be for a manual vehicle, automatic vehicle licenses were not changed until recently but the rule was about to be amended - check
6) Debit card for fees
7) Blood group (no report needed, just fill it in yourself in the form)
8) Your residence card original and copy + passport copy with visa stamp

Thanks for your reply. I've got my oman driving license by surrendering my qatar driving license.

Guys,

Pls refer the below required documents as per the current active rule in sohar driving office;

1. Qatar driving license copy
2. Qatar driving license - original (Required for verification & to surrender)
3. Passport copy with visa page
4. Resident card copy
5. Resident card - original (Required for verification)
6. Eye test report - (to be uploaded in online portal by the optical person, no hard copy required to be carry)
7. Passport size photo - 1 no.
8. Blood test certificate & Sponser letter aren't required, ROP refer will refer your Qatar license for your blood group.

Now you can submit these documents to the lady, who is sitting in the verification counter and she will fill your details in the Arabic form and pay 1 rial for this form.

Then ask the ROP who is sitting in the  receptionist table, he will tell you the license transfer counter to convert your qatar license .

Finally, you submit this arabic form along with d above mentioned documents in the transfer counter, then it will be verified and signed by d captain (ROP) and he ask you to pay 10 rial (thru Atm card)for the conversion and then you can collect your oman driving license from the license printing counter.
