Why poeple don't say good about Malaysia

I want in for visa to visit Malaysia but all friends that I will call in there ask me not to come because the people in there are not kind and good to black's and weekend. Its made me to shake to come .

I guess you should ask your friends to describe the problems and after that you can decide whether to visit. There is a growing impatience with certain nationals because they break rules, get caught and deported. That gives them a bad reputation. Law abiding people may unfortunately be viewed in the same way as the law breakers.

Yes I called 3 friends in there .non tells good thing about Malaysia. But Malaysia is a dream country many people want to visit but due to bad name on story people give it gives fear to come.

I want to the embassy of Malaysia this morning to tell them this what am hearing about they country. Another man comes in  to report that they arrest he and friend to g for days in the airport immigration without anything. And he friend dad in there. They took his money from before sending him back home.

I guess that the Nigerian scammers are giving Africans a bad name here in Malaysia.  But then I do know a Nigerian guy here who is running a clothing business with his Indonesian wife in Klang and they get on fine and earn a decent living.

It depends what you mean. Malaysians going to other countries to study or work or travel?

You will need money to move and skills that are in demand if you want to go to developed countries.

Malaysian are not friendly poepel and people to stay with they embassy in Ghana needs to close down. Because they can't trips us to kills Africans. Africans are good anyone we see. But all my life Malaysian are the most dangerous pl  ace. I want back to get my airline ticket money. Oh my God Africans what a friend shows me that Malaysian are those who did him to become half man oh my God. Never visit that place in ur life. If u only want to die then go

Well I am from Pakistan and I like it here there are ups and downs but people are alright here. Good and bad are everywhere. We can't blame the whole country for a few or even many bad apples. Any way even if you come here. Live and low profile. Don't bother Malaysian girls for money scams, don't do drugs or carry, don't get drunk and make a scene . Other than that if you mind your own business and don't look down on Asians then there wouldn't be any major problems

Have u ever seen how the immigration treated blacks. In airport of Malaysia. If not tomorrow go and see

Well they treat others Asians bad too. But do you know how many Africans scammed Malaysians? Check it out that too please.

Dear Brothers,

I'm a Malaysian. I'm very friendly. I can make friend with anybody. We have lots of criminal cases here involving African countries. That's the reason people here bit scared to friend with Africans. It's not about the skin colors. Even the Indonesian treated the same when they come in this country because of high criminal cases involving them.

i agreed with Omar's comment. Mind your own business

Indeed brother

Amisco, you need a job and to get immigration pass to stay in Malaysia. Or you have to enrol to study at a university and get a student pass before you arrive in Malaysia. Otherwise you can't stay in Malaysia, other than for the period as a tourist.

pls is there any difficulties or all I need is money.

Not so easy as having money if you wish to move to Australia or NZ. You need a visa, To get a visa you need to have a specialist skill that cannot be done by a local.
Unemployment is rising and so immigration are cutting down on letting people into the country to work. Local companies will employ locals before anyone else. To employ someone else from overseas is very costly and time consuming for the company.
For Australia visa information and applications www.immi.gov.au
For New Zealand www.immigration.govt.nz

in most cases ,,they stereo type about blacks

Am from East Africa, i heard the same things too before coming to Malaysia,  it all depends on your personality. I have very good malaysian friends and for the past 4 years there wasnt any day i had a bad experience. People always talk but you are the one to show them that you are a good person, they are eager to know of different cultures as well. Just dont break their laws and be friendly and am sure you can have a good time. It all starts with you

I heard of cases from networking where those of African decent (eg American/Brits) find it hard to rent a place as landlords suddenly say "sorry it was taken" after they see them! Rascism is live and kicking in Malaysia along with homophobia and sexism. Asian Americans/Brits also suffer, but I note this i a lot less than before.

The only way to change Malaysian minds is through just toughing it out. I hired a black Brit recently as best candidate. I was asked about "errr are you sure" but to hell with that. Don't join 'em is my answer! Otherwise get a pointy white hat a with eye holes in it...and a torch.

And the Eurovision song contest winner made me smile. Good on ya Austria!

Malaysia is a country having dual concept in one hand encourage tourism and on the other discourage long stay despite their MM2H scheme, I been there for some time as my son has been studying in one of Foreign Uni so I had to make frequent visit what i observed is they (Malaysian) do not like foreigners so much so Ministers (Home Minister Zahid Hamidi) is openly criticize and treat them as a burden on Malaysian economy ignoring their contribution. There are number of businesses foreigners are not allowed to enter. Police keep an eye on foreigners and openly take bribe on minor violation and even do not accept international driving license of tourist.Taxi drivers mostly Tamil either loot passengers or take long distance to make hefty bill. Recently (on 5th May, 2014) a Senator Datuk Chin Su Phin of Kota Kinabalu has urged the federal government to come up with a more comprehensive measure to ensure that only malaysian enjoy the various subsidies and incentive and not foreigners. These are the few examples to make the readers understand what is the perception about foreigners in Malaysia.

Hi,

please don't turn this thread into politics. Politics are not really welcome on Expat.com.

Thanks

Is this really a political version and not matching with topic " Why people don't say good about Malaysia'?????
Dear Brother this is a guidance for those tourist/visitors planning Malaysia journey to be careful with Taxi Drivers, Pol Unlike locals , Police will not spare foreigners will be subjected to mental torture even on minor violation (violation because of stranger in the country). Yes RM 20-30 will save them. In immigration corruption is on rise but not directly via front man. People all over the world now aware that Malaysian' Home Ministry doesn't know the difference between criminal people and illegal immigrant. They are even not prepared to accommodate those whose replacement is not available and if they leave lot of owners will shut down their establishment as a result export will go down , foreign exchange earning will badly suffer and will cast drastic negative impact on revenue.
